Last week, I had the pleasure of joining my colleagues, Minister Seamus O'Regan and MP Salma Zahid, for a tour of the United Association (UA) Local 46 Training Centre in Scarborough.

Thank you for serving the Greater Toronto Area for over 130 years and for your dedication training skilled plumbers, steamfitters, and welders!

On August 28th, TELUS announced it has expanded its community boards to support more Ontarians. This allows the Community Boards to continue helping youth reach their full potential by opening up new opportunities that help facilitate life-changing connections, nurture a sense of belonging, and empower them to thrive.

Through the TELUS Community Boards, TELUS Friendly Future Foundation® funds more than 500 charities annually, supporting grassroots and charitable initiatives that offer health or education programs that help youth thrive in a digital world.

The boards are now accepting the final funding intake for 2023 with grant application deadlines closing on September 15. Canadian registered charities that meet the eligibility funding criteria requirements can apply and learn more at TELUS Community Boards.
